City Council

Parks and Recreation Commission

City Council
The City Council will discuss funding options for the proposed Public Works Facility, including the use of utility franchise fees to reduce reliance on property taxes. They will also review a proposal to change the General Fund balance policy from a fixed 50% to a 45-50% target range. City Council
The council approved a motion to have city staff work with the property owner at 4155 Bay Drive SE to restore a screening barrier between the property and Bayview Park. The council also agreed to a cost of approximately $3,600 for the screening and requested staff bring back a revised tree-replacement policy. Other actions included approving the Castlewood fence maintenance and future replacement, prioritizing an Opportunity Zone application, and approving airport hangar leases and a settlement agreement.
