Plan Commission / Zoning Board of Appeals
The Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals will continue public hearings on the Plano Skies Energy Center, a large-scale solar farm project. They are considering rezoning numerous parcels from residential and business districts to agricultural, annexing land into the city, and granting a special use permit for the solar farm. Also up for discussion are variations to allow partial screening berms, partial landscaping, and deferred financial surety for decommissioning.
- Rezoning of parcels along Miller Road and Rock Creek Road from R-5, B-5, and R-8 PUD to A-1 Agricultural for solar farm
- Annexation of over 1,000 acres from 10 parcels into Plano, including properties on Sears Road, Galena Road, and Rock Creek Road
- Special use permit for a ground-mounted solar farm energy system on approximately 1,500 acres
- Variation to install screening berms only in select portions of the property perimeter instead of the entire perimeter
- Variation to allow filing of decommissioning financial surety at building permit application rather than before special use permit issuance

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is meeting to review and approve several expenditure reports. This includes two separate vendor payment runs and the city's wage report from April 2026.

City Council
The City Council will consider approving the purchase of three GMC pickup trucks for up to $135,000. They will also vote on routine financial approvals including vendor payments and the April wage report. A closed session is planned to discuss pending or imminent litigation.
