Parks and Recreation Commission
The Parks and Recreation Commission will consider accepting a $40,000 SEMI WYFY grant for youth programming. They will also discuss upgrades to the GCBA Pavilion and review the results of June park inspections. Public comments are limited to three minutes per speaker.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The June 24, 2026 meeting of the Garden City Zoning Board of Appeals has been cancelled due to no agenda items. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 22, 2026.
Election Commission
The Election Commission will authorize the City Clerk to prepare ballots, order supplies, and appoint assistants for the August 4, 2026 Primary Election. They will set pay rates for election inspectors, including chairperson at $200 and inspectors at $170 per day.

City Council
The council approved a zoning ordinance amendment updating parking and driveway standards for residential districts. Also approved were a Great Lakes Water Authority contract amendment, the 2026 sidewalk program with a public hearing, an 80/20 employee healthcare opt-out resolution, a library lease agreement, administrative hearing bureau compensation, a CLEMIS agreement, and a CivicPlus contract renewal. The council went into closed session and authorized the city manager to submit a proposed two-year collective bargaining agreement to the Command Officers Association of Michigan.
