Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Board will hold a public hearing and decide on a variance request (ZA26-000051) to allow a pool deck enclosure to encroach into the required 5-foot setback. The meeting also includes approval of prior minutes and public comment.

Planning Commission

The Gulf Shores Planning Commission will hold public hearings on four development proposals at its June 23 meeting. Items include prezoning and annexation of 5.6 acres for single-family at Oak Place, a 233-lot PUD on 80 acres at Audubon Oaks, and a 304-lot PUD on 148 acres at Ellenburg, along with associated annexation. The commission may also discuss other business and hear public comments.

• Oak Place: Prezone 5.6 acres at 18789 Oak Rd W for single-family residential, annex into city limits.
• Audubon Oaks PUD: Rezone 80 acres on Oak Rd E for 233-lot single-family development.
• Ellenburg Property: Prezone agricultural and annex property on Roscoe Rd.
• Ellenburg PUD: Rezone 148 acres for 304-lot single-family development between Alabama Beaches Parkway and Roscoe Rd.

City Council

The Gulf Shores City Council will consider approving a change order for pedestrian bridge construction, a professional services contract for FY2026 streets resurfacing, and a grant application for the America250 Alabama Initiative. They will also vote on franchise requests for two personal training businesses. The meeting includes approvals of minutes, expense vouchers, and a proclamation for Parks & Recreation Month.
