Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee

The Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee will review outreach efforts from June, discuss the Winona response, and receive updates on the Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP), the area behind the Water Department, and the Canal Project. They will also hear reports on the Water Department Kid's Day, a meeting with the Town Manager, and the Lake Hosts program. No votes or binding decisions are expected; the meeting is largely informational and deliberative.

Zoning Board of Adjustment

The board will consider a request for rehearing on a previously denied variance for a barn height of 43.3 ft on Happy Homes Road. Two public hearings: a special exception for a short-term rental at 8 Anderson Road, and a variance to build a home with a 23.6-ft waterfront setback instead of the required 65 ft at 40 Oak Island Rd. The board will also discuss amending its rules of procedure.

Short-Term Rental Committee

The Short-Term Rental Committee will review existing licensing regulations and the permit application process. They will also discuss next steps for potential changes.

The committee will review a conceptual plan and cost estimate summary for Prescott Park renovations. They will discuss project phasing and scheduling a public presentation to the Board of Selectmen. A playground update and naming discussion are also on the agenda.

Planning Board

This meeting is largely procedural, including reorganization, approval of May minutes, and committee updates. The main action item is the signature of a site plan for Jonathan Miller.

Select Board

The Select Board will hold a public hearing, approve minutes, and review updates on the 250th Celebration, storm water management, and Styrofoam recycling. The board will also discuss 2025 tax abatements, a new park and street closure policy, and the year-to-date budget.
