City Council Workshop
The Derby City Council is conducting a workshop to discuss the 2027 budget. No public forum or citizen input will be allowed. The meeting is held at the Derby Senior Center due to construction at City Hall.

City Council
The Derby City Council will conduct a second reading of zoning and subdivision regulation amendments and consider authorizing a $1.2 million paving contract for The Courtyards at Crosswater Second Addition. Other actions include receiving a traffic study for Madison Avenue and Park Hill, updating council priorities, and authorizing a conditional clearance request to KDOT for the Rock Road project, including payment of an appraisal award in eminent domain proceedings. The consent agenda covers nuisance abatement assessments, VFW street closures, utility extensions for the water treatment plant, and improvements for Spring Ridge 4th Addition.

City Council Workshop

Board of Construction, Trades & Appeals
The Board will vote on recommending the City Council adopt the 2024 International Fire Code with local amendments, aligning with Wichita's code. They will also discuss revoking the license of Flint Hills Roofing and elect officers for the coming year.

The City Council will consider authorizing $20.95 million in general obligation bonds and $3.685 million in temporary notes. Other new business includes purchasing a dump truck with brine system for $268,751.91, a first reading of zoning and subdivision regulation amendments, discussion of council stipends, adoption of a multiple-occupancy policy, and an ordinance to allow alcohol at the Derby Senior Center. The consent agenda covers approval of minutes, a cereal malt beverage license, and computer workstation replacements.

Community Development Advisory Board
The Community Development Advisory Board will elect a chairperson and vice-chairperson, adopt the 2026-2027 meeting schedule, and consider a request from Stone Creek Residences, LLC for Industrial Revenue Bond financing with a 60% property tax abatement and 100% sales tax abatement on construction materials. The board will also receive an Economic Development Manager report.

Special Community Development Advisory Board
At this special meeting, the Community Development Advisory Board will recommend the City Council approve the sale of Lot 3/Block A in the Derby Industrial Park to Mid Continent Controls, Inc. for $1 plus development requirements. They will also adopt previous meeting minutes and hear public comments.
