The City Council unanimously passed Ordinance No. 260, amending zoning rules to allow detached garages in front-yard buildable areas and adjust setback requirements to accommodate the Melrose Avenue Complete Streets Project. The council approved the first consideration of Ordinance 260, amending zoning to allow front-yard detached garages, more driveway space, and adjusted setbacks for the Melrose Complete Streets Project. Fire protection services were extended through 2031 at an annual fee of $42,800. Multiple property easements and acquisitions for the project were authorized.
