A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Avondale, Arizona was convened
using the Microsoft Teams Meeting platform in open and public session at 5:31 p.m. All
participants attended by phone or video.

PSPRS Police Board to approve new officer memberships and secretary
The Avondale Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) Police Local Board is meeting to handle routine administrative matters. The board will consider approving meeting minutes, appointing Keely Farrow as the new Local Board Secretary, and approving PSPRS membership for 14 newly hired police officers. The Planning Commission recommended approval of a Minor General Plan Amendment and a rezone for about 9.03 acres at the northeast corner of Lower Buckeye Road and 4th Street, to allow a City municipal operations warehouse. Both items passed 4 to 0, with three commissioners excused. The Commission also recommended approval, 4 to 0, of a rezone of two vacant parcels at 323 and 335 North Central Avenue from Community Commercial (C-2) and R1-6 to a unified R1-6 Urban Residential district. All three items now go forward as recommendations; the minutes record no final council action.

A Work Session of the City Council of the City of Avondale, Arizona was convened at
11465 West Civic Center Drive in open and public session at 5:30 p.m.

La Junta ratificará la delegación de autoridades administrativas y fiduciarias para el fideicomiso del plan de salud

The council adopted Resolution 1049-0626, setting the primary and secondary property tax levy for fiscal year 2027. The motion passed with a 6-to-1 vote. In the same meeting, the council approved the consent agenda unanimously and adopted several other resolutions, including a $72,500 grant for a law‑enforcement records system and intergovernmental agreements for recycling services. Additional actions included a deannexation of Miami Avenue, a sale and acquisition of city property, and approval of a water‑line construction agreement.
