Council to approve AECOM contract for engineering services on proposed rail stop

The Bedford Town Council will consider reappointing two members to the Local Board of Building Code Appeals for two‑year terms. It will vote on awarding a professional engineering contract to AECOM for NEPA and preliminary work on the proposed rail stop, funded by a Federal Rail Administration grant and lasting through July 2027. Council to decide on Homestay conditional use permit at 1307 Boone Drive

The Bedford Town Council will hold a public hearing and consider a resolution to approve a conditional use permit for a “Homestay” at 1307 Boone Drive, Tax Parcel 133-1-2B-T in the R‑1 zoning district. The Planning Commission has recommended approval with a condition that access be within the platted easement. Council may adopt the resolution, amend it, or impose additional conditions.
