Council to approve emergency ordinances for equipment purchases and budget

At its regular meeting on February 17, 2026, the Brooklyn Heights Village Council will consider several emergency ordinances. She explained that a safe design requires ten- foot travel lanes for vehicles and five-foot lanes for bicycles. Based on her field measurements, she stated that two five-foot bike lanes, one in each direction, could be installed by striping a solid white line five feet from the curb on both sides of the road. Ms. Zoldak noted that she plans to confirm the measurements using an existing survey once records are accessible. Village Council

Council will consider an emergency ordinance for an exit improvement on Granger Rd.

The Village Council will vote on five emergency ordinances. Three ordinances authorize the mayor and clerk/treasurer to enter into agreements with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 67, Cuyahoga County Department of Development for an ADA restroom improvement project, and the Ohio Department of Transportation for an exit improvement on Granger Road. Two ordinances appoint Sean Knapp and Scott Wozniak as laborers in the village service department. Separate committee meetings will discuss employee wages and bike lanes.
