We're going to start with what is the tourism tax. Um, it's section 94 of the Missouri law and it authorizes Branson to impose tourism tax and issue bonds payable from those taxes. Mona Menezes expressed she' s in favor of the complex being built, but with private funds
and she asked why taxpayers would pay for the land and facilities that they' ll likely

I've updated the PowerPoint slide um from our last meeting where a couple of additional ideas have been discussed. Um thing that's changed the most is the timeline below. Uh later tonight, you'll hear uh an update on the 2026 legislative state session from Bar Associates. uh Chris Roie who's the city's lobbyist. He'll be attending u as part of our regularly scheduled agenda item to brief the board on this. Um then of course uh just a couple deadlines there regarding uh December 1st of 2026 is the pre-filing of bills and um looking for your guidance tonight on um a path forward on approving uh these these uh items into a formal resolution. We're going to go ahead and skip through the state priorities we as we discussed that at the last meeting. and we'll move to t …

The Board approved the Branson Meadows TIF agreement with Branson Meadows TIF Co, LLC and Bryan Branson Hotel Three, LLC, after amending the exhibit to a July 20, 2026 version. They also adopted a resolution supporting the Chamber's legislative priorities for development reform, amended to include a provision on utilizing discretion in the code. Additionally, the Board approved first reading of an intergovernmental agreement to terminate water services with Public Water Supply District No. 3, and adopted a resolution of support for the Donnelly Crossing affordable housing project.

CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Branson, Missouri, met in Special Session in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall on July 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Mayor Milton called the meeting to order.

City Clerk Briand called roll. Present: Mayor Milton, Alderman Ashley Harkness, Alderman Artie Lucas,
Alderman Clay Cooper, Alderman Glenn Schulz, Alderman Alex Williams. Absent: Alderman Ruth Denham.

The floor was opened for a motion to move into Executive
Session.
Alderman Williams moved to go into Closed Executive
Session pursuant to 610. 021. 3 RSMo for personnel,
seconded by Alderman Lucas.
Voting aye: Harkness, Lucas, Cooper, Schulz, Williams. Nays: none. Motion Carried.
ADJOURN
The floor was opened for a motion to adjourn. Alderman Cooper so moved, seconded by Alderman Williams.
