Park & Recreation Commission
Commission to recommend new lease for Sioux Valley Gun Club
The Park & Recreation Commission will consider recommending City Council approve a new lease agreement with Sioux Valley Gun Club for the Trap and Skeet Range at 214 21st North Street. The current lease from 2000 is outdated due to plans for a new clubhouse, which the gun club would fund and which would become city property. The commission will also discuss accepting donations and hear a staff introduction.
- Recommend City Council approve new lease with Sioux Valley Gun Club for Trap and Skeet Range at 214 21st North Street
- New clubhouse construction planned for fall 2026 or spring 2027, funded by gun club, becoming city property
- No rent charged in 2027 if clubhouse is built; utilities and snow removal for range are gun club's responsibility
- Accept donations offered to the city through the Park and Recreation Department
- Recreation Coordinator Dylan Maanum will introduce himself and describe his responsibilities
