Commissioner Hahnemann summarized her chapter notes as Joseph Calhoun, HLA Consultant,
followed along, provided feedback, and suggested goal and policy insertions. Chair Kantwill
invited Keiko Walsh to the podium. Kittitas County Hope Source Transportation Director Walsh

Commissioner Richard made a motion to excuse Commissioner Peterson. Commissioner
Spoonmore seconded. Motion carried.

New Business
1. 2026 Work Plan — Revisit Work Plan to Prioritize Projects
Chair Henrichsen referred to the work plan document in the agenda packet to begin
discussion on prioritizing projects. Discussion ensued. The group decided to work
primarily on a self-guided Walking Tour Project. Chair Henrichsen and Vice Chair Richard
provided background history on the project and discussed potential stories for the tour.
Commissioner Spoonemore discussed linking it to the Coal Miner’s Trail. Commissioner
Richard asked Commissioner Hawk, as a historic property owner what she would like to
see and she suggest that it be free, and easy.
Chair Henrichsen encouraged beginning with buildings that are eligible and or listed on
the local register and discussed his research on History Link. Tours. Chair Henrichsen
