Town of Davidson Workplace Climate Survey Results
Presenter: Amber Levi, Human Resources Director, Dr. Leisha DeHart-Davis,
UNC School of Government
Summary: Earlier this year, Town of Davidson employees participated in a
workplace climate survey administered by the UNC School of Government through
its Local Government Workplaces Initiative. The survey provides valuable insight
into employee experiences, workplace culture, engagement, and organizational
strengths and opportunities. Dr. Leisha DeHart Davis of the UNC School of
Government will present an overview of the survey findings and key themes
identified through the results.
Action/Proposed Motion: This item is for discussion only.

Haversack Commercial Building – Formal Review & Recommendation
Summary: The proposed Haversack commercial building is located at the corner of
Griffith Street and Davidson Gateway Drive. The site is part of the Davidson
Commons East Master Plan. The proposed building will be +/-60,000 SF and 4-
stories with a mix of uses including retail/restaurant, office, and research laboratory
space. Building materials include brick/masonry, aluminum storefront, and
metal/glass awnings.
The Design Review Board will formally review plans and provide a
recommendation on building schematic designs.

Davidson Fire Headquarters (Fire Station #1) - Preliminary Review
Summary: The Town has identified fire station #1 replacement as a priority in the
Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Year 2028. Preliminary plans are being
presented to the Design Review Board of informal feedback prior to formal
submittal of site and/or building plans.
The project includes a new four-bay fire station of approximately 22,000-24,000

Presenter: Gina Carmon, Recreation Operations Manager
Summary: The Town of Davidson Parks and Recreation Department is requesting
a Joint Use Agreement with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) for the use of
facilities at Davidson Elementary School. This agreement would provide
dependable indoor space to support Parks and Recreation programs and activities,
helping to meet the community's recreation needs while maximizing the use of
public facilities.
Action/Proposed Motion: This item is for discussion only. The Board of
Commissioners will be asked to approve the CMS Joint Use Agreement on the
consent agenda at the August 25 board meeting.
b. Discuss Fiscal Year 2027 Non-Profit Grant Recommendations
