The commission's work is done, and the time will be used to educate the public on the proposed changes. The mayor indicated support for this option at the last City Council meeting.

New Business:
Chairman discussed that the proposed Charter amendments would not be on ballot this year due
to a split, or divide, between the Board of Elections Commissioners. Discussed options,
including possible action against Board of Elections and special election. Best course of action
that was decided was to request that the mayor establish a new commission with same members
for placing amendments on the ballot for November 2027. Commission cannot be established
until after the November 2026 election. All the Commission’s work is done, and this time will be
used to educate public on proposed changes.
Mayor indicated support for this option at last City Council meeting.
Jenny is to get all of what was submitted to Board of Elections to post on website.
Mayor will need to appoint a new Chairman as current Chairman cannot continue due to new
position.
