Lord, high schoolers go through so many emotions, so many feelings, and this tragedy is not something that is meant to be dealt with this young in age. But Lord, we thank you that these two girls knew you, and Lord, that they are with you in paradise. God, we just lift up this meeting today. Good evening and welcome to our April 21st, 21, 2026 council meeting. We will call the meeting to order at 630. Our invocation will be done by Pastor John Weigel from So vereign Way Christian Church. Thank you. And then Council Member Greg, will you please lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance? Thank you, sir. Good evening, everyone. Good evening, City Council. As I pray in my faith tradition, I invite you all to pray in light of yours. God, thank you for the opportunity to gather here tonight. Thank you for this community and for all the people who serve it. Local civil government is a reflection of our democratic republic. Our democratic republic is a reflection of our western heritage. Our western heritage is a reflection of humanity. And humanity is a reflection of you, God, as the source of everything in the universe, including human government. So, God, I pray for each member of our city council that you've appointed. Our council members, Chris Ochoa, Allison Lee, Cameron Gre gg, our mayor pro tem, Josh Pullen, and our mayor, Bridget Bennington. And I also pray for our city attorney, Pam Lee, alongside our city manager, Rachel Molina. Give them all the wisdom to discern every matter with common sense. Give them all a sense to judge with fairness. Give them all the strength to persevere during difficult times. Give them all the courage to do what's right. All right, welcome everyone to the Planning Commission for April, it's April 9th. I wanted to welcome everyone and please stand for the P ledge of Allegiance and the invocation. Start time is at 633. Ready again? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, for one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day, Lord. Every day is a blessing and we thank you for it. We ask, Lord God, that you watch over our soldiers for their care. And Lord God, we also do the same for our emergency responders, Lord, as they all are serving tirelessly, keeping our country safe and our community safe.
