I'd like to call this meeting to order. This is a duly noticed workshop meeting of Hudson City Council, held in accordance with the Sunshine Laws of the State of Ohio, Section 121.22, and the City of Hudson Charter, Article 3, Section 3.02, for Tuesday, July 28, 2026. It is 7.30 p.m. And per ordinance 220.031, titled Workshop Meetings in Item C, I would now like to turn the meeting over to Council President Byrd, so as to continue through the remaining workshop agenda items, Council President Byrd, the floor and workshop meeting is yours. All right, thank you very much, Mayor. So next up is correspondence and council comments. Let me know if you have anything you'd like to share. Sam. Thank you. I just wanted to start by saying Councilman White and I will be hosting a public forum Wednesday, August 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barlow Community Center regarding e-bikes, scooters, everything with motors of sorts, and to get everyone's input on that. That will be a good segue from what we're discussing this evening. So I can call the meeting to order. This is the meeting of the Architectural and Historic Board of Review for Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Roll call. We do have quorum tonight. We have Mr. Brown, Ms. Zwerdinski, Ms. Marzula, and myself. So we do have the required four members for quorum. I would now like to open it to public comment. This is when anybody may address the board regarding anything that is or is not on the agenda. We ask that you keep your comments to five minutes or less. Is there any public comment tonight? Seeing none, we will close public comment. Move on to consent applications. Tonight we have one. It is 26-940-356 North Main Street, and this is a roof replacement. I move to approve the consent application. Second. All in favor? Aye. Anybody opposed? We do not have quorum for old business, so we will move on to new business. First is 26-917, 150 Aurora Street, and this is an accessory structure in the Historic District. Yes, I can give a brief project background here. This is for a detached garage within the Historic District. Just some brief staff comments for you here. Staff comment A is a site plan requirement. The applicant did submit a revised site plan depicting the impervious surface calculations. Comment B, Section 3 of the Architectural Design Standards state that includes accessory building shall incorporate some elements similar to the main body. And just question the proposed boreal panel on the left side elevation and how that relates to the main …

revisión del 8 de julio de 2026. Comenzaremos con la lista de asistencia. Tenemos al Sr. Brown, la Sra. Zerdinsky, la Sra. Marzula y a mí aquí.

a) Staff notes this application was heard at the June 24, 2026 AHBR meeting.
b) A site visit took place on June 30, 2026.
c) The Secretary of Interior Standards state that deteriorated historic features
shall be repaired rather than replaced. Where the severity of deterioration
requires replacement of a distinctive feature, the new feature shall match
the old in design, color, texture, and other visual qualities and, where
possible, materials. Replacement of missing features shall be substantiated
by documentary, physical, or pictorial evidence. Staff notes Hardi Board is
proposed as a replacement material for wood siding, as well as Azek trim
material. Suggest a wood replacement based on the high visibility of the
house on a corner lot. A wood replacement would also result in consistent
materials around the 1840 structure.
d) Provide spec sheet for proposed siding and trim materials.

Mary Rodak, Planificadora Asociada. Tenemos a Nick Sugar, Planificador Municipal. Y lamento no haber obtenido su nombre completo. Chris Thomas.
