The La Center City Council is holding a joint work session with the Planning Commission to review the draft Comprehensive Plan and related development code updates before final adoption. The plan, mandated by the Washington Growth Management Act, covers land use, housing, transportation, climate resilience, and other elements, and includes a preferred land use alternative with UGA expansions. The council will also hold public hearings on two ordinances: a code update for the MDR-16 zone and the Muir Annexation and Rezone.
