This public hearing is held in strict compliance with South Carolina Code Section 6-1-80 to
provide our citizens with a formal opportunity to address the Council regarding projected
revenues, expenditures, and the estimated tax millage for the upcoming fiscal year.
To ensure all residents have an opportunity to speak about this financial plan, the following
procedures apply tonight:
Topic Restriction: Testimony must strictly pertain to the proposed budget, millage rates, or
municipal fees. General grievances must wait for the standard public comment period.
Time Limit: Individual remarks are limited to two (2) minutes per person.
Decorum: Comments must be directed to the Council as a collective body. Personal attacks,
rowdyism, or disruptive behavior will result in an immediate forfeiture of your time.
Process: The Council will listen to all feedback as part of our official deliberation process ,
but will not engage in back-and-forth debate during your testimony.
