We are expanding the clinic, making it even larger with L ANGS closing down. We have taken on a lot more at our clinic. We are offering emergency hours. This community asked for emergency hours. We stayed open until 8 o'clock at night. For two and a half months, we've been open until 8 o'clock at night. Nobody shows up after 6.45. And I'm paying two doctors and six techs. So we are going to be changing our hours, offering five nights a week until 6 o'clock emergency care. Emergency care also isn't when they can't get into their own vets for an appointment. They come in to us for emergency care. That's not emergency care. So we are changing things up to help the community, but we 're not going to have our doctors working 12 hours and people not showing up. It's not feasible money-wise, or it's just not fair to do that. So as I say, we're changing things around, but all is good. We are not turning away any emergencies during the day whatsoever, whatever clinic they come from, real emergencies. Okay? Any questions? No? Planning Division Manager Chris Gilbert stated the 2026 General Plan was adopted by
City Council and will be on the November 2026 ballot for voter ratification. For City
Staff, this is a resting period during which they cannot actively advocate for the plan, but
members of the public, elected officials, and Board & Commission members can continue
to share information and are encouraged to do so.
City Council approved the Planned Development Amendment for the Come Together
Apartments at The Shops, which reconfigured several of the proposed buildings.
Mr. Gilbert explained that today is Commissioner Ballard's final meeting, as her term ends
