Konopada, Borough Clerk, Borough Attorney Jean Cipriani, Esq., Borough Administrator Brett Radi, Deputy Clerk Deirdre Amato Discussion Item: Robert Brice, JCP& L discussion In a conversation led by Bob Brice from JCP&L, he explained that after reviewing recent outages on 6/24, 8/12, 9/15, 10/13, and 10/30 many north-end outages were largely caused by unusual late- summer storms with high winds that caused wires to make contact at a junction on a circuit served by the Point Pleasant substation; after temporary fixes, crews permanently resolved the issue by repositioning and reconfiguring a pole to change the wire angle, and no further problems have occurred. He noted that a June 24th outage was heat-related and tied to a broader substation issue that required controlled outages affecting about 1,200 customers from Point Pleasant to Mantoloking, not just the Borough.
