The meeting was called to order at 6:36PM
Mayor Gilbert, and Council members Recker, Rabel, Oates, and Evans were present.
2. Citizens to Be Heard

Carlos De La Cruz spoke, he stated he is running for congress and has the endorsement
of President Trump. He wants to fight for the forgotten men and women in the community.
He believes the community needs someone who will tell the truth and not back down.

MDD members Recker, Oates, Hyland, Gilbert and Oates were present, Farmer were
absent.
2. Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and Pledge of Texas Flag
Recker lead the prayer, as well as the pledge.
3. Citizens To Be Heard
There were no Citizens to be heard.
4. Consent Agenda
(All consent agenda items are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion.
There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a board member requests an
item be removed and considered separately.)

Executive Director Felicia Carvajal went over the 2025 fall and winter events.
The Hometown Hoedown was a great event, everyone loved the music. There was 6
food vendors as well as 12 market vendors. There were around 700 attendees.
Christmas downtown and the Christmas parade were another great event, there were
around 2100 attendees. We have received a lot of good feedback about having it
down town this year. We will be looking into creating a city float for next year.

El Concejo considerará convocar a elecciones el 2 de mayo para alcalde y concejal
El Concejo Municipal discutirá y considerará dos ordenanzas: una que modifica las regulaciones de permisos de letreros (Ordenanza N.º 010826-01) y otra que convoca a una elección general el 2 de mayo de 2026 para un alcalde y un concejal (Ordenanza N.º 010826-02). El concejo también considerará resoluciones para nombrar a dos oficiales de inversiones, modificar la política de personal y aprobar un acuerdo de Pequeñas Ligas.
