Borough Council Meeting Minutes
New Providence, New Jersey
January 6, 2026
The Re-Organization meeting of the Borough Council of the Borough of New Providence, County
of Union and State of New Jersey was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 8:00pm at the
Municipal Center. Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order and stated that at the last election, Brian Gardner and
Alan Lerner were elected to Council for full three-year terms ending December 31, 2028.
OATH OF OFFICE
Oath of Office was administered by Lieutenant Governor-Elect Dr. Dale Caldwell to Brian
Gardner who then took his place. Alan Lerner would be sworn in at a later date.
