Council to approve $1.5 M solid waste contract and new affordable‑housing districts

The Mayor and Council will consider three ordinances that create new Affordable Housing Districts (AH‑10, AH‑14, and AH‑15) with a public hearing scheduled for February 9, 2026. They will also vote on several resolutions, including a $1,525,645 contract for solid waste and bulk waste collection with Interstate Waste Services and a $150,000 agreement for environmental legal services. Additional resolutions cover municipal prosecutor, public defender, stormwater study, and other community services.
