In these self-selected, self-managed camp community communities, the campers will have to sign a liability waiver where they promise not to sue. The City Council voted 6-3 to continue the Salem Tourism Promotion Area and advance an ordinance that would include short-term rentals and accessory short-term rentals in the tourism fee district.
