Council adopts Ordinance 533 updating outdoor dining and zoning code

The City Council adopted Ordinance 533, amending Titles 16 and 17 of the Solana Beach Municipal Code to update outdoor dining and other zoning regulations. They also approved a development permit for a new two-story residence at 508 Glenmont Drive and continued a public hearing for a project at 121 W. Plaza St. to January 28, 2026.

The council approved the meeting agenda, the December 10, 2025 minutes, and the November‑December register of demands. It adopted a resolution reclassifying a senior civil engineer position and updating the salary schedule, and approved the purchase of a Chevrolet Silverado EV. The council closed the public hearing and approved the recommendation for the 508 Glenmont Drive development, and continued the public hearing for 121 W. Plaza St. It also adopted Ordinance 533 amending the zoning code.
