All right. I'm calling to order this meeting of the Monday, August 3rd, special meeting for the Committee of the Whole Planning and Public Works. All council members are in attendance. We have three items on the agenda today. First up is our interlocal agreement governing inspections in King County, Fire District 34. Invite our fire crew up. Hello. Good afternoon, council. This item is asking you to send to consent a renewal of an existing 10-year interlocal agreement that we have with King County Council that authorizes us to do annual inspections up in our fire district, up in King County 34. These are permitted businesses and multifamily complexes, and they're just for the annual fire life safety inspections. This is about 10% of our workload, and the contract, as it's been written, is working very well for us for the last 10 years. Increased our level of firefighter safety. And resident safety up in that community that we serve. So asking for this to go to consent on 9-1, and I'd be happy to take any questions. Thank you. Any questions from council? Council Member Parsi. Hey. If I may bring up an item that we're going to be looking at next on the agenda, we have our Q1 and Q2 progress report that shows us that we're falling slightly behind on some of our inspections. So I was curious if you could speak a little bit more to... Maybe how this kind of moving forward with additional inspections that would carry as a part of this initiative would impact our targets, and if we …

Good afternoon. I'm calling to order the July 28, 2026 at 4 :30 p.m. Committee of the Whole for Parks and Environment Sustainability. All council members are in attendance and we have a very packed agenda tonight. So, you know, let's jump right into our agenda one. There are seven items on our agenda and our first agenda item is Park Impact fee schedule update and we have Parks Director Lauren Hamilton. Good afternoon City Council. I am joined today by Cameron Zapata, our Senior Parks Planner and our consultants from FCS on this Park Impact fee schedule update. I'm just going to hand it over to Cameron to present this item. Great. Thanks, Lor raine and good afternoon Council. I'm here today to bring back the Park Impact fee schedule update. Last time we came to you, we provided three methods for calculating Park Impact fees, which included the current method and then two standard-based methods. One which calculated, which was calculated using projects from our parks, six-year CIP and then one using the parks, 20-year CIS. Since we last met in June, staff invited folks from the development community, including one Redmond and Master Builders Association to a public engagement session where we shared information with them about the update and then sought their feedback. The meeting had representatives from the Master Builders Association and a multi-family housing developer. From that meeting, we heard that participants expressed general support for shifting a fee structure bas …

The staff introduced this item at the June 16th, 2026 Committee of the Whole meeting, at which time the council members ask questions and ask to schedule this study session. That's why we're here this evening. So responses to the questions that were asked as were our part of your packet this evening. And I also sent an email earlier today, if those of you had an opportunity to read it, where we provided responses to additional questions that were raised. I'm joined tonight by Ian Lefcourt and Jeff Churchill, and I'm going to turn it over to Ian and he's going to recap the proposed amendments. Thank you, Carol. Hello, Council. I'm calling this meeting to order. This is a regular business meeting of the Redmond City Council held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, commencing at 7 o'clock p.m. I will call roll starting with Council President Stewart. Here. Council Vice President Nueva Camino. Here. Council Member Forsythe. Here. Council Member Procria. Council Member Percy. Council Member Soni. And Council Member Kritzer. The first item on our agenda is a presentation from Cascade Water Alliance. I would love to invite the CEO, John Taylor, up to the podium to share about Cascade. Thank you. Good evening, Council. I'm John Taylor. I'm the newly minted Chief Executive Officer of the Cascade Water Alliance. I think I'm on week seven. And it is an honor to be here giving you all this presentation. We're going to cover a couple of things tonight. The first is going to be just a quick overview of the Casc ade Supply Program, which is our audacious program to connect the Tacoma Water Supply with the water supply down here in King County, or rather up here, I should say. And then my colleague, Andrew Baker is going to be giving an overview of our budget and rate proposal for the upcoming biennium. And so with that, oh, there's the agenda right there. So I'll go to the next one. So just to ground people into Cascade Water Alliance, we are a wholesale purveyor of water to five jurisdictions and two water districts here in King County, serving about 400, 000 residents to 380,000 employees. And we currently are purchasi …

Thank you. Hello and welcome. It is 4.30 p.m. and this is the July 21st meeting of the Public Safety and Human Services Committee of the Whole. All council members are in attendance. And I just want to note that this is a very packed meeting for this committee due to an item from another committee that is at the end and just being very packed for relative to how this committee goes in general. So please try to be brief and I may have to cut folks off at some point. But the first item of the three action items is the Community Development Block Grant Projects presented by Deputy Director Allen and Alrick Bean of the Planning Department. Thank you, council. I figured we'd get up here. So since it's a tight, agenda presenting on the proposed allocation of the estimated 2027 Community Development Block Grant funds, Alrick will explain how the determinations were made as well as some background information on how CBDG works and what the requirements are for the distribution of funds. The plan is very similar compared to prior years. And we are looking for guidance from the council on how to proceed and are open to answering any questions you may have. Al rick? Alrick? Great. Thank you. So the city is under an interloc al agreement with the county for administration of the Federal Community Development Block Grant Award. So it's CDBG. And under this arrangement, Bredman is what we call a joint agreement city. So that means that some of the CDBG funds are allocated directly to us pa …

I'm calling this meeting to order. This is a Redmond City Council special meeting held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 commencing at 6:45 PM. Council members, all the council members are in attendance. This special meeting is being held to interview the Human Services Commission candidate Austin Ashenbrenner. Alrick Bien, senior planner will introduce this candidate. Thank you, Mayor. So this is senior pastor at Redmond Presbyterian Church, Austin Ashenbrenner, and we're just so happy to have him potentially join the commission. He is not a resident. He lives outside of the city limits, but the ordinance established the Human Services Commission allows for up to two seats for non-residents, as long as they work in the city, and he works in the city. He's been really interested in helping community members in need with just basic needs services. He's been working very closely with the Redmond United Methodist Church Redmond School Break Food Box Program for many years. And he's also worked with other members of the faith community, other leaders on homelessness and housing, which is a particular interest of his as well. And so this is Pastor Ashenbrenner. Thank you very much for that introduction, and good evening to you all. It's a pleasure to be here, and I think you all have questions for me, but I don't know. Yeah. Thank you so much. Yeah, I'll open it up to the council for questions, and I see Council President Stewart has a question. Thanks so much. Yeah, thank you so much f …
