Board Member Kathleen Taylor voted no, saying she does not think it is responsible to spend a quarter million dollars on a feasibility study for the Lear Theater. The board also approved its agenda and the minutes of its July 22 and July 29, 2026 regular meetings, both 5-0, and adjourned at 4:03 p.m. Chair Schieve and Board Member Reese were absent; Board Member Taylor attended remotely.

Reno City Council Meeting

The Reno City Council will hold a regular meeting on August 26, 2026, to consider a consent agenda with multiple contracts and resolutions, including a $50 million state loan for a dewatering facility at the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility, several construction contracts, and a resolution to transfer private activity bond volume cap for affordable housing. The Ward 4 Neighborhood Advisory Board is meeting to discuss a proposed abandonment of public right-of-way on Newport Lane and Collins Circle, receive a quarterly update from the Reno Police Department, and hear a presentation on the Advanced Purified Water Facility project. The board will also approve its agenda and minutes, and take public comment. No final decisions are expected on the development project, as the board only reviews such items.
