an on LGBTQIA affairs for the city of Worcester. My name is Patricia Lefor. I'm the director of human rights and the interim staff liaison for for this board. We will be having a change in sort of uh personnel uh within a month or two. I think um we have a pretty decent uh agenda this evening. Um I've been running the meetings because we haven't elected leadership yet. This meeting is being recorded in compliance with the open meeting law. So, if you're opposed to that, um either don't speak or jump off the meeting because that's not going to change. Um I'm going to take a roll call of the members present and then we will uh proceed. So, members present, please. Michael Abson >> here. >> Douglas Arbiter >> Tata Sizo. Mark Winnette >> here. >> Ann Harvey >> Jules Troba. So we do have enough members present. I also wanted to say that this is a virtual only meeting. So um anything we do tonight in the form of any vote would be by roll call of the members present. Um so looking at the agenda for this evening um the first thing on the agenda is to approve minutes. Unfortunately, I don't have any minutes for us to approve. I'm just getting ready to finish up the me meeting minutes from our last meeting. And then the meeting before that, I haven't even posted yet. So, I should have those uh for for September. We should hopefully have this meeting and the last meeting ready to look at. Um item number three is a discussion uh requested by U. member Douglas Arbiter regarding potential …

Keep yourself. This August 3rd, 2026 meeting of the Wister Conservation Commission is now called to order. My name is Diane Fton. I'll be chairing this meeting. As part of this meeting, we will be holding hearings under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and Regulations and the City of Wister Wetlands Protection Ordinance and Regulations. The commissioners are volunteers who serve to enforce these laws and regulations to protect specific values identified as being important to Massachusetts and the city of Worcester. Commission decisions are based on these laws and regulations and are not arbitrary or based on personal likes or dislikes. It is important to the commission that these hearings are held in a fair and equitable way for all parties involved. This requires that discussion takes place in a civil manner and that every individual in this meeting is treated respectfully. To facilitate this, the hearings take place in the order they are listed on the agenda, which is available by the door and online. First, the applicant will present an overview of the project to the commission. Next, staff will provide comments on the proposed work. Then, the commission will direct any questions it has to the applicant or staff. After the commission is done questioning the applicant, the floor will be open to the public. Comments and questions must be directed to the chairperson, not to the applicant or their representative, and they must pertain to the regulations that the commi …

Joseph Carr, yes. Patrick. Patrick Lowe, yes. Michael Parado, yes. Okay. And then the second minutes are from the public hearing. I think there's a couple of corrections on this that I noticed on page two under the Summary of Witten Public Comments. Number two, there's one sentence that is kind of repeated twice. So I would suggest we eliminate the sentence that begins, the commentator also stated. Just take that sentence out and leave the sentence that says, the company also stated. Basically just said the same thing twice. And on the third item, right on the same page, the third written comment came from Merrill Safe Haven. I think we should probably add the word who expressed some support because as that item recognizes, it wasn't …

Hello. in the heat. I never know if you're like in a nice apartment or if that's a background. Then it confuses me with Kelly's background. I'm like, is this a nice one, too? Should I have something like that, too? And I was like, what what do I do, you know? >> Okay, everyone. >> I thought Anna Heat was in um Dr. Reese's home because he usually has that background. Exactly. >> No, it's usually just a boring white wall in the background. I wanted to add something much nicer. >> This is my my real home. >> Thank you. Thank you everyone. It's 6 o'clock. I'm going to get rolling. This is the normal monthly meeting for July 2026 of the Human Rights Commission. We are in a hybrid status, meaning we are present here in uh city hall in the Esther Howland Chamber. And then we have members who are virtual via the Teams app. When I do the roll call, if you could just identify whether you're virtual or in place here in person, um that would be great. To help maintain an orderly meeting, please address all comments and questions through the chair , rather than directly to any of the other speakers or committee members. Each agenda has the opportunity for the public participation slash community engagement or standing items to be considered for placement on the next agenda. While an item outside of the agenda cannot be discussed by the committee, the committee may decide to take a vote to …
