Westfield City Council set to vote on $1.6M in public safety grants; recent meeting outcomes pending

City Council

Conservation Commission
Public hearings were scheduled June 23 on three wetland-area development proposals: a multi-unit housing project at 0 Lockhouse Road (DEP# 333-0878) and two lots at 0 Pochassic Road (DEP# 333-0879 and 333-0880). The commission was also set to review enforcement order updates for 56 Mockingbird Lane, 300 Union Street, and 65 Butternut Road, and discuss the final draft 2026 Open Space & Recreation Plan.
Zoning Board of Appeals
Three public hearings were scheduled June 24: Aleksandr Okhrimenko seeking site plan approval for a detached accessory dwelling unit at 122 Wyben Road; David Ritchie requesting a special permit for an addition intensifying a non-conforming side yard setback at 35 Barbara Street; and Dominick Uguccioni seeking variance relief for an accessory structure within the front yard setback at 1091 Shaker Road. The board was also set to review proposed changes to a previously approved site plan (12/3/25) for 288 Elm Street.
School Committee
The School Committee was scheduled for two June 29 meetings.
