Lebanon roundup: City Council set for Rutledge Lane land use vote; zoning, airport, wastewater committees met last week

City Council to weigh Rutledge Lane land use change, budget amendments

The Lebanon City Council meets July 7 with a packed agenda, including a public hearing on a proposed land use change for 65 & 85 Rutledge Lane from Rural Preservation to Interchange Commercial. The council will also vote on an ordinance to rescind annual financial contributions to Wilson County for the Wilson County Expo Center and consider creating a Design Review Commission to assist in development plan reviews.

Planning Commission considered subdivision plats and zoning code amendments

The Lebanon Regional Planning Commission met June 23 to vote on four consent agenda items and two zoning code amendments. Consent items included a preliminary plat revision for Waverly Phase 12 & 13 (104 lots on Red Barn Way), a final plat for Coles Ferry Village Section 18 & 19 (61 lots on Chambers Bay Dr & Christine Dr), a final plat for Barton Village Phase 8 (25 lots on Bartons Creek Rd), and Don Fox Playground Renovations at 955 W Baddour Parkway. Airport committees discussed lease terms, engineering projects

The Airport Managerial Oversight Committee met June 29 to discuss amending T-hangar Row E lease renewals from two-year to one-year terms to match other rows. The committee also reviewed May 27 meeting minutes, a financial report on revenues and expenses, an FBO CEO report, and communications to noncompliant tenants.

The Lebanon Airport Commission met July 2 to review several engineering projects, including the Northwest Terminal Apron and Southeast Area Site Grading/Drainage/Utility Plan with funding, a Runway 1/19 Rehab and Strengthening Preliminary Study, Castle Heights Entrance Relocation, and REILs/PAPI Lights/Runway Lighting System Phase I. The commission also considered Row E lease rates and a one-year renewal option, plus updates to the T-hangar waiting list. Minutes are not yet published for either meeting.

Wastewater plant site selection committee narrows candidates

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Site Selection Committee met June 29 to review tabulated site scores from committee members, discuss whether to remove any sites from consideration, and hear a consultant's overview of additional candidate sites. The committee also adopted a final site evaluation scoring matrix to guide the next phase of selection. Minutes are not yet published.
