Work Session
✓ Decided: Afton Town Council discusses e-bike ordinances, park culverts, and EMS funding
The Afton Town Council held a work session to address several municipal issues. The council reached a consensus to draft an ordinance clarifying the use of e-bikes and e-motorcycles in parks to prohibit throttle-operated devices. Regarding park safety, the council identified the installation of sloped, engineered trash racks as a feasible interim measure for culvert safety following flooding and debris concerns. Finally, the council addressed a request from Star Valley Medical EMS for approximately $220,000 in annual funding; the council decided that no funds will be allocated until the hospital provides comprehensive financial data and its most recent annual audit.
