PUBLIC WORK SESSION NOTICE The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 3:30 PM at 701 Kelly Rd, Cumberland, MD, 21502 in Room 230. This meeting is open to the media/public for observation and will be streamed on the County website for live viewing and playback. The Allegany County Board of County Commissioners will hold a PUBLIC WORK SESSION to discuss the following: • Public Business Meeting Agenda Items • Department Updates, as needed A work session is a meeting where the Board of County Commissioners and staff gather to discuss issues, review information, and deliberate on upcoming decisions in a more informal setting than a regular meeting. The purpose of a work session is to allow for in- depth discussions, planning, and collaboration without the need for formal votes or public debate. Unlike regular meetings, work sessions typically do not include a public comment period because they are meant for internal discussion and information-gathering rather than decision-making. Since no formal actions are taken, public input is usually reserved for official meetings where votes or policies are considered. However, members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the session.
