Regular Board Meeting Agenda 2021

The board will approve the agenda, then recess into two closed executive sessions: one to discuss non-elected personnel under the Kansas Open Meetings Act privacy exception, and one for teacher negotiations. The Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education voted to approve tutoring programs from Tomorrow's Promise Today (TPT) and Varsity Tutors to address learning gaps caused by remote learning during the pandemic. The board also discussed boundary committee updates, board policies, practices, start times, and a bond update. An executive session was held for non-elected personnel matters.

The KCKPS Board held a regular meeting including swearing in new members, recognizing student artwork, and hearing community comments on topics including a mask mandate and school schedule changes.
