✓ Decided: NRSD School Committee certifies $28M FY27 budget over advisory town vote

The committee certified a $28,027,675 FY27 budget (6-1) and set town assessments at $10,806,982 for Templeton and $2,490,509 for Phillipston (both 6-1). Chair Smith noted Phillipston's select board had voted an advisory 2.5% increase, but said that level would prevent the district from meeting legal obligations to students. The budget includes estimated income from Chapter 70 aid, charter school reimbursement, excess & deficiency, Chapter 71 aid, and Medicaid receipts.
