The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation board approved the December 15, 2025 meeting minutes with a 7‑0 vote. The board elected Kent Williams as President, Thomas Casey as Vice President, and Dr. Danyelle Ackall as Secretary, each passing with a 6‑0 vote (the elected member abstained). No citizens offered comments during the public forum. The board also received a financial report showing liquid assets of $7,797,965.40 and total revenue of $218,793.12 for December 2025.

City Council

The Benbrook City Council will hold a public hearing regarding a rezoning request for approximately 80 acres of land. The council will also review the minutes from the January 5, 2026, regular meeting.

The council approved the minutes from the January 5, 2026 meeting unanimously. After a public hearing, the council denied the developer’s request to rezone the 80‑acre Rowan Ranch property, also unanimously. Both motions passed with a 7‑0 vote.

Park Board
