Community Parks and Recreation Committee

Public Safety and Transportation Commission

The Public Safety and Transportation Commission will discuss amendments to BMC Title 5 regarding transportation network companies. The body is also reviewing the Neighborhood Watch Program and National Night Out.

City Council

The Bethel City Council will tour several city facilities, including the Ptarmigan culverts, Public Works at 1155 Ridgecrest, the Animal Shelter at 1135 Ridgecrest, and the Port dock near 919 Front St. After the tour, Acting City Manager Strickler will lead a discussion on funding priorities for city projects. The meeting also includes standard procedural items such as call to order, pledge of allegiance, roll call, and public comments.

Public Works Committee

The Bethel Public Works Committee meeting on July 24, 2024 will discuss unfinished business, including evaluation of 2024 committee goals, review of duties and responsibilities, and two draft ordinances—one to reduce the frequency of meetings for committees and commissions and another to temporarily lower membership requirements from seven to five when fewer members are appointed. The committee will also hear public comments and address any new business.

City Council
