Bridgeton public meetings in 2022

City Council

The City Council adopted the 2023 annual budget with amendments to remove electric vehicle charging station funding and increase stormwater project funds. The council also approved salary ordinances for city employees and confirmed progress on two redevelopment plans.

Design and Review Board

The board approved several applications for residential and commercial fencing and signage. One application for pole signs was sent to the City Council with a favorable recommendation.

The Commission approved a request for Missouri Asphalt Products, LLC to relocate its manufacturing plant to 14559 Missouri Bottom Road. The decision includes six conditions regarding flood plain permits and site plans. The Commission also approved pursuing several zoning ordinance amendments.

City Council

The City Council approved a $45,995 contract for Council Chambers audio-visual upgrades and rezoned a parcel on St. Charles Rock Road. The Council also approved an amended development plan for the 13930 Missouri Bottom Road project. The 2023 annual budget and employee salary ordinances were tabled.

Design and Review Board

Police Commission

The City Council approved contracts for road materials and park repairs, as well as special use permits for a vehicle rental agency and used truck sales. A rezoning request for a hotel at 12386 St. Charles Rock Road was tabled, and Stephen Wesche was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Senior Citizens Coordinating

The committee approved the meeting agenda and previous minutes. Members discussed ongoing luncheons, bingo, and upcoming holiday events, noting that the mayor approved increased attendance for November and December.

Beautification Commission

The Design and Review Board approved applications for a new warehouse, two fences, and a building permit amendment. Most approvals were contingent upon submitting specific reports or meeting city codes.

Pension Commission

The Pension Commission approved the July 19, 2022 meeting minutes. Members received an experience study from Buck Global, LLC and an investment performance report for December 31, 2021 through September 30, 2022, for future review.

The April 14 meeting is canceled. Commission members will instead bag plants on April 22 and work the Spring Plant giveaway event on April 23.
