Public Comments is an opportunity for the public to address the Committee of the Whole about issues
not otherwise on the agenda. The Committee welcomes public comment at its meetings. Each speaker
is limited to a total of three (3) minutes to ensure that other members of the public can speak and allow
time for official Village business to occur. No person may assign their time to any other person. Those
wishing to address the Committee during Public Comments are encouraged to provide their contact
information on the sign-in sheet so they can be recognized and called to the podium. The Committee will
not respond to public comments during this portion of the meeting. When appropriate, the Mayor will

The roll was called and all were present.
Mayor Kownick led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chris Reike, 446 Lloyd Street, stated that First Street was on the list of streets to be
repaved in 2025, but according to information presented at a meeting a few months
ago, it is not scheduled to be repaved for another three to four years. Mr. Reike
inquired about the funds that had been set aside for the project.
Mayor Kownick stated the funds for this project have not been used; however, the
work has not been performed because the State pulled the contract after bids were
evaluated.
Director Noonan stated the next bidding for this project will take place in January 2027.
Mayor Kownick encouraged Mr. Reike to contact Director Noonan for additional
information.

stated Crime Stoppers funds are primarily derived from an annual golf outing, which
will take place this year on September 18.

allowing residents to own backyard hens. Ms. Jelinske provided information on a
community interest survey she conducted, potential ordinance regulations, and the
benefits of owning hens.
