Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the AMKO Revitalization Project, which includes land use map amendments, zone changes, conditional use permits, and certificates of appropriateness for two properties in historic districts. Utilities Commission

The Colton Utilities Commission will hold a regular meeting to approve prior minutes, select a new chair and vice chair, and receive a workshop presentation on a proposed electric rate increase. The presentation from GDS Associates recommends phased rate adjustments through FY2029, including changes to residential fixed charges and tier structures. No final decisions are expected at this meeting; it is a discussion workshop for commission and council feedback.

The Colton Parks & Recreation Foundation board meets to elect officers for 2025–2027, approve past meeting minutes, and receive quarterly reports including a $127,447 scholarship fund allocation and $12,750 in fundraising. The board will also review financial reports and vote on new expenses such as a QuickBooks subscription and tax preparation services.

Planning Commission

Code Compliance & Housing Appeals Board (CCHAB)

This is a procedural meeting of the Colton Code Compliance and Housing Appeals Board. The board will approve minutes from March 2023, introduce Police Chief Anthony Vega and new staff, and receive training on the Brown Act and social media use for public officials. No code compliance or housing appeals decisions are scheduled.

Planning Commission

Library Board of Trustees

The Library Board of Trustees will hear reports on library services, community services, and the Bertha Hartley Memorial Fund. Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will consider approving a Uniform Sign Program for the Jara Center Complex, a commercial center with four tenant spaces at 705 Colton Avenue. The Colton Recreation & Parks Commission approved the minutes from the November 20, 2024 regular meeting by a vote of 4-5 (with one commissioner absent).
