Abrams Municipal Airport Advisory Commission

The Abrams Municipal Airport Advisory Commission is holding a special meeting to discuss and recommend to the City Council an update to the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) that removes the existing and future crosswind runway 18/36. The recommendation is based on a study showing the primary runway 9/27 provides sufficient wind coverage, making the crosswind runway unnecessary and ineligible for federal funding. The removal would free up airport property and reduce land-use restrictions on nearby industrial and proposed development areas.
