Metal Archway “The Back Porch” update - Metal archway was to be installed already
but issues came up with 811 (Call before you dig). New install date 6/11.
Hoschton Beautification Project - Board looked through 3 quotes. Cameron from
Georgia Professional Landscape Group was present at the meeting for clarification
and questions from the board. Board discussed his quote. This quote presented the
most product with the best price coming well under budget for this project. Jessica
Martin made a motion to approve Georgia Professional Landscape Group for the Job
and was 2nd by Clay Meeks, All in favor.

families. One family promised to bring in an old family Bible; another family promised to
send photos to Cohen.

Fall Fest (Fri, 10/2 – Sun, 10/4/2026) & Jingle Mingle (Sat, 11/21/2026), promoting the
history of Hoschton. Members were asked to develop ideas for promoting the HPC
during upcoming festivals. Booth volunteers needed. Jingle Mingle will include Santa, a
tree lighting and participation from The 1898. Note: Blankenship suggested a date change,
but the event is already locked in for 2026.
Proposed a raffle for a print or a photo. The committee needs to source raffle items.
Proposed creating postcards featuring the Hoschton mural to sell/distribute at local
businesses, including antique shops. Youngblood to research postcard printing and costs.

Martin stated that she would like to recommend Ms. Cona Durham to be our upcoming

Martin stated that we are working closely with a potential buyer, in hopes that we can
make progress within the next few weeks.
3. Open Board Seat Applications
Martin stated that we are continuously looking for a board member that has a financial
background.
4. Metal Archway “The Back Porch” update
Martin stated that the arch is underway and this project is making great progress.
5. Back to School Bash update
Martin stated that this back to school bash is collecting great items for this event and it
should be a huge hit. Great local sponsors as well. We will share all sponsors at the back
to school bash, which will be July 17, 2026.
6. Farmers & Art Market update
Martin stated that the Farmers & Art Martin has been a great success for the community.
