The City Council held its annual organizational meeting to swear in members and fill vacancies on city boards. The council appointed members to the Airport Commission, Planning Commission, EDA, and Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee. Other actions included designating the official city newspaper and appointing a Council President Pro Tem.
