City Council

The City Council held a workshop session on December 15, 2022. The council discussed the City of Llano Employee Compensation Schedule, but no action was taken. The meeting was procedural in nature.

City Council

The City Council approved the FY 2022-23 budget for the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center and amended the city's organizational chart. The council also waived rental fees for a specific event center use and removed restrictions on certain LEDC funds. The Comprehensive Compensation Plan was tabled for a future meeting.

LEDC - Llano Economic Development Corporation

The board approved the meeting minutes from October 24, 2022, and submitted timesheets. Other agenda items regarding funding requests and future goals were discussed, but no actions were taken.

Planning & Zoning Commission

The Llano Planning and Zoning Commission held public hearings and voted on several land-use items. It forwarded a rezone of 6.57 acres from Agricultural to SF-4 and a rezone of two blocks from SF-2 to Commercial to the city council. It also forwarded a specific use permit for a general office at 709 Flag Street, but rejected SUP requests for bed-and-breakfasts at 709 Flag Creek Drive and 305 W Tarrant Street due to neighbor opposition.

LEDC - Llano Economic Development Corporation

The Llano Economic Development Corporation held its annual open meeting, approving minutes from September 26, 2022, and invoices/timesheets unanimously. No public comments were made. The board discussed potential USDA community development grants, a future funding request for OR equipment, an affordable housing initiative update, and an airport development update, but took no votes on these items.

City Council

The council voted 4-1 to appoint Mayor Kelli Tudyk as interim city administrator, replacing the current three-person interim administration. The council also authorized the finance director to remove Josh Becker's authorized signatures once the transition is complete. A contract with Allen Hopson for golf course landscaping and agronomy management services was approved.
