City Council

The Monahans City Council will consider ordering a May 6, 2023 special election for proposed City Charter amendments and a separate vote to legalize all alcoholic beverage sales, based on a valid petition. The council will also discuss a first right of refusal to purchase Airport Hangar 12 #7 from Brett Grigry, renewal of membership with the Midland-Odessa Transportation Alliance (MOTRAN), and the 2022 Annual Traffic Contact Report from the Police Department. An executive session is scheduled to discuss the appointment of a Municipal Court Judge.

The City Council approved two ordinances to hold a special election on May 6, 2023, regarding seven proposed City Charter amendments and the legalization of all alcoholic beverage sales. The Council also reappointed the Municipal Court Judge and approved over $1.2M in accounts payable.
