Discussion and review of the draft of the Accessory dwelling unit ordinance. After reading and discussion of the Accessory dwelling unit ordinance the following changes need to be made. 8-9-30 listed twice. Have only one Section 8-9-30-A definitions: Number 6 add that 8-2-3 of this title is the Short Term Rental code. Section 8-9-30-B permitted. Number 4, Add that all ADU’s are permitted. Cross out number 5, ADU’s may be used for personal use or for long term rentals 30 days or longer. Switch around number 1 and number 2. Internal accessory dwelling units are permitted. Section 8-9-30-C-2. Not allowed on Lot size 7000 square feet. Chad wants this reviewed. Section 8-9-30-C-3. Word it that all ADU’s shall not be sold separately from the main unit. Section 8-9-30-C-8. Mr. Reed commented that there are 2 full time and one alternate positions available on the Planning and Zoning Board. Public Comments: 2 minutes per person. No public comments. Discussion and consideration of minutes from February 17, 2026 work and regular meeting. Mr. Reed asked if there were any changes or corrections. Mr. Wood motioned to accept both the work and regular meeting minutes of February 17, 2026. Ms. Twitchell seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried. Steve Wood discussion regarding the 25 foot utility/ drainage easement on the West side of Harpers Landing Subdivision. Mr. Wood presented a plat map of Harpers Landing marking the area he would like to discuss and lots that currently have structures he believes were built in the easement.
