The council adopted a resolution to eliminate compensation for two unauthorized police director positions, refuse legal fee coverage for the mayor's hiring decisions, and impose a 12-month moratorium on external police hires outside Act 78. A budget amendment to create a Director of Asset Management and Ombudsman position was defeated, and a resolution to hold K9 grant implementation was unanimously approved.
