City Council

The Delano City Council and Economic Development Authority will meet jointly to elect EDA officers, recognize outgoing Councilmember Mike Mathisen, and consider a consent agenda that includes over $878,000 in payments to contractors, a new interim fire chief, and several Heritage Center improvements. A claims listing of $4.16 million will also be approved.

The Delano City Council approved consent items including a $610,575.55 pay request for Spirit Park, new fire department uniforms and turnout gear, and a proposal for Heritage Center window restoration. They also accepted a fire chief resignation, appointed an interim chief, and approved a resolution accepting donated fire suppression tools. All votes were unanimous.

Public Safety Commission

The Public Safety Commission will meet to review minutes from December 2nd and discuss event safety in Delano. The body will also address the use of a security trailer.
