Akron school board approves new hires, Smart Schools funding, and special education placements
The Akron Central School Board of Education held its regular January 7, 2026 meeting, approving personnel appointments including a new MicroComputer Technology Support Specialist at $30/hour, accepting resignations and appointments for district treasurer roles, and granting tenure to two teacher assistants. The board also approved the Smart Schools Bond Act Phase 9 plan, a memorandum of understanding with Williamsville Central Schools for Title 1 tutoring services, and accepted financial reports for October and November 2025.
