The Legislative and Governmental Relations Committee will hear an overview of statewide legislative priorities and platforms from organizations including MABE, the State Board, and MSEA. Members will then discuss and draft the Board of Education's own 2025 legislative priorities. The committee will also review several prefiled bills, including HB0038 on school construction and housing, HB0057 and HB0192 on student cell phone policies, and HB0068 and HB0137 on prohibiting in-person attendance for students charged with violent crimes.
